Hi! I'm Jonas, a 3D animator from Germany. I am currently taking different courses and mentorships while trying to get my first job in the gaming industry.
My focus is on 3D gameplay animation. What I love most about this kind of animation is all the little tricks and details you can use to change the feel and impact of an animation.
Besides animating, my hobbies are videogames (of course) as well as pen and paper.
My favorite games at the moment are Baldur's Gate 3, Final Fantasy XVI, Pokémon Violet, and League of Legends. Also, World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XIV, if there is a new expansion to play.
I animated this during my third term at Kyosil.
It started out with 2 Characters fighting each other but I realized it wasnt a realistic goal for the time I had. I decided to turn it into a 3-Hit-Combo and I think it turned out well in the end.
I animated this during my second term at Kyosil.
I wanted to animate something where I had to show the personality of a character, since I didn't have an animation of that kind. After figuring out the arcs of the head and hands it went pretty well!
I did this walkcycle after my first term at Kyosil.
I wanted to try something new since I have never done a cycle for a quadruped before. It was a bit confusing at first but after figuring out the rythm of the feet it actually went quite well.
I definitely want to do more creature animations in the future!
I did this runcycle during my first term at Kyosil with Markus Hammarstedt.
It was an awesome learning experience and Markus taught me alot about his workflow and approach to these kind of animations.
I started this animation inbetween courses and it was just planned as a test to see how I would do animating a dance.
While working on it I had so much fun that I spend more time on it than planned because I wanted to finsih it. I think it currently is my favorite animation I have done and the most fun I had while animating!
